Households still rebuilding after the January 2025 Eaton Fire can get half off furniture, home goods and building materials at the Pasadena ReStore on Sunday, Oct. 25.

The quarterly Fire Survivor Event, organized by San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity, runs at the store at 32 N. Sierra Madre Blvd. The ReStore's regular Sunday hours are noon to 5 p.m.

Discounts include 50% off donated items and 25% off premium items, according to Patch. Giveaways and raffles round out the day.

The ReStore's Fire Survivor Program launched in 2025 to help families stretch limited recovery resources, according to San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity. The program has supported hundreds of families and distributed thousands of dollars in gift cards along with discounted furnishings and rebuilding supplies.

The nonprofit's broader Eaton Fire recovery work has accelerated in recent months. More than 800 families have contacted the organization about rebuilding in Altadena, Pasadena Now reported, against a stated commitment to build 25 homes and an aspiration to reach 100. A recent Red Cross grant is expanding the nonprofit's capacity through its Fire Relief Home Repair and Rebuild Program, which offers zero-interest, five- or 10-year forgivable loans for repairs. Partner organizations including the Altadena Builds Back Foundation handle debris removal and smoke remediation, while The Foothill Catalog Foundation provides pre-approved home designs.

CEO Bryan Wong described the pace of rebuilding in an Oct. 1 blog post: "This is what happens when all the players align around a common goal." The organization hosted 23 volunteer-driven events across four Altadena build sites in September, celebrating groundbreaking, wall-signing and key ceremonies.

The Eaton Fire started Jan. 7, 2025, burned more than 14,000 acres and destroyed over 9,000 homes and businesses in Altadena and Pasadena, according to Time. Nineteen people died.
